Description

In the complex and challenging present that racialized people face, dance emerges as a powerful tool to combat the various forms of violence that fall upon our bodies. It is resistance, it is memory, it is a balm for our souls that allows us to heal and transcend.

This workshop aims to be a space for meeting, studying and enjoying, where knowledge of traditional and contemporary Afro dance will serve to enrich the participants. Beyond the technique, a reflective environment will be generated about the importance of approaching African dances, recognizing and preserving our traditions.
