The Year of the Stone
The Years of Stone proposes a descent into a territory where the domestic and the geological become indistinguishable. Inspired by the geography of inclination that defines Antioquia and by the industrial legacy of the building now occupied by the MAMM — a former steel plant born from coal mining — the exhibition invites us to inhabit a space where progress and ruin coexist in permanent tension.
The Mouth Where Water Gives Birth to Water
Félix Blume. Swarm
Swarm invites visitors to immerse themselves in an experience of radical listening: 250 small speakers suspended from the ceiling each play the sound of an individual bee in flight. Upon entering the gallery, the sound is perceived as a unified murmur—a vibrating mass that evokes the collective power of a swarm. But as visitors move among the speakers, the experience shifts: the singular voice of each bee emerges, with its erratic flight, its breathing, and its intimate, irreducible presence.
To Feel Your Weight
To Feel Your Weight invites rest, exchange, and connection among museum visitors. Colombian artist Iván Argote (Bogotá, 1983) draws inspiration from the traditional rocking chairs found across different regions of Brazil and Colombia, intertwining them in pairs or trios. The movement of the chairs only occurs when the weight of the other is acknowledged and shared.
