Description
This workshop will be a space to delve into the deep colors of the Colombian Amazon, while learning about plants and preparing natural dyes. We will discuss how some Indigenous women safeguard the knowledge of the land and why painting is a vehicle for creating positive thoughts.
The day will be divided into two groups:
Group one: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Group two: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
About Kasia Morales:
A Bora woman from the Patio de Ciencias Dulces Indigenous Community reserve, located 11 kilometers from Leticia. She is knowledgeable about plants and natural dyes. Her creative process stems from a deep understanding of the spiritual dimension of the rainforest, which has allowed her to develop a sensitivity to color, painting, and the medicine of yagé (ayahuasca).
