Luis Miguel Arana
Chemist from the Universidad de Antioquia and doctoral candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Researcher with experience in phytochemistry and metabolomics of erythroxylum coca sp and cannabis sativa sp. Member of the Interdisciplinary Group of Molecular Studies GIEM at UdeA and adjunct researcher for 4 years on Khoka Project.
Marcelo Perez
Anthropologist and historian from the Universidad de los Andes, with a specialization in Indigenous Studies focused on valuing traditional knowledge about plants and its relevance in the contemporary world. Over the past three years, he has dedicated himself to the study of the coca plant, integrating evidence from the social sciences with information technologies such as GIS and scientific visualization and dissemination platforms. This work has led him to recognize the importance of sharing native and scientific knowledge systems, building bridges between languages and cultures to explore why humans have integrated coca into our daily lives.
