Actitudes plurales: an editorial research project in the MAMM archive

Actitudes plurales is an editorial research project developed in collaboration with Ediciones Réplica and La Bruja Riso, which seeks to open the Museum’s historical archive to new collective and experimental readings. The initiative proposes a dialogue between art, archive, and publishing, promoting the circulation and reflection on visual and fine arts in Colombia.

The project begins with an editorial residency led by Ediciones Réplica, in which the MAMM’s archive is investigated and activated through museographic and didactic devices installed in the galleries where the Museum’s Collection is exhibited. There, the public will be able to interact with publications, typographic stamps, printed materials, and questions specially designed for the experience. These actions will be complemented by mediations from the Museum’s team, generating inputs that will feed into a collective publication.

In its second phase, La Bruja Riso and Ediciones Réplica will produce an experimental publication of 500 copies, conceived as a pedagogical and critical device. Its final assembly will take place in a laboratory open to the public, which will allow the results to be shared, strengthen networked collaboration, and foster a shared editorial circulation process. The project will culminate with a public talk in which the learnings and conclusions of this experience will be presented.

Actitudes plurales is part of the MAMM’s line of collaboration with collectives and independent initiatives across the country, a sustained effort to link art, education, and research. This working network seeks to rethink the archives of art in Colombia as living spaces of creation and knowledge, and to strengthen the local artistic ecosystem through exchange between museums, publishers, and independent projects.

This is a partner project of the JUNTXS network: circulation and collaboration in visual and fine arts, which is part of the Program for the Strengthening of Spaces and Projects for Circulation, and the Promotion of Collaborative Work in Colombia.
