More than 20 free events mark the opening of the year-end season at MAMM
The Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín presents its special end-of-year programming, with more than 20 free activities that invite you to experience culture, art, and togetherness.

- This holiday season begins with a free admission weekend on Saturday, November 29, and Sunday, November 30, open to all audiences regardless of their place of residence.
- From Saturday, November 29, through Saturday, December 13, the MAMM will offer workshops, tours, concerts, yoga and meditation sessions during MAMM Christmas.
- Thursday, December 4, marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of maestra Débora Arango; therefore, on that day and Friday, December 5, the Museum will hold special programming around her legacy.

Between November 29 and December 13, the MAMM will develop two thematic tracks with workshops, conversations, tours, wellness experiences, and a specialized talk about the work of maestra Débora Arango.
Community, art, and wellness to celebrate the holiday season
MAMM Christmas will offer special programming to experience the museum in a festive spirit. For fifteen days, there will be creative workshops for all ages, tours of exhibitions, yoga and meditation sessions, and conversations connecting with end-of-year traditions.
Highlights of this programming include an outdoor yoga session at the MAMM Plaza; two concerts at the MAMM Theater with the Fundación 1 + 1—which promotes access to music, knowledge, recreation, culture, and art for children and young people with visual disabilities—and a performance by the female vocal ensemble Oropéndola with the choral group Voces Oscuras.
Additionally, on Friday, December 12, the museum will open its doors from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with free admission, in a session that will include guided tours at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. of the exhibitions Bubuia. Aguas como fuente de imaginaciones y deseos, Lleébu. Amazonía colombiana: sonidos y lenguas indígenas en riesgo, Señal abierta. Lenguajes del arte actual, and the special project Khoka Project.

20 years of Débora Arango’s legacy: a commemoration from the MAMM that extends to Bogotá
On December 4, 2005, maestra Débora Arango passed away. Her legacy remains alive, which is why on Thursday, December 4, and Friday, December 5, the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín will hold commemorative activities. The agenda includes special tours of the Curatorship workshop and the talk Devenir artista, led by artist, art historian, curator, and professor Sylvia Suárez.
In parallel, on the same December 4—the day of the commemoration—the exhibition La huida del convento will open at the Museo Santa Clara (Bogotá), an exhibition produced in partnership between the Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y los Saberes, the Museo Santa Clara, and the MAMM.
