Description
Eighty-seven years later, this commemorative exhibition returns to Club Unión as part of the Medellín Cultural Season 2026, featuring seven works from the collection of the Medellín Museum of Modern Art. Its significance lies precisely in this return: rather than simply recalling a historical moment or attempting to reconstruct that original 1939 exhibition, the showcase aims to activate its memory through pieces and documents that offer insight into an artist who transformed the representation of the body into a domain of aesthetic experimentation and cultural debate. Reexamining these works today is also an invitation to ask once again which bodies, images, and forms of art a society is willing to confront.
This event is supported by the Promotora Cultural.
