Description

This gathering creates a space to narrate ourselves from the body as our first territory, recognizing how our stories are shaped by climate, social, and cultural crises. Drawing from the experience of Yurshell Rodríguez—Raizal woman, climate activist, and impact storyteller—the session weaves connections between body, memory, and territory, understanding that inhabiting the body is also inhabiting the earth.

Inspired by feminist and community-based pedagogies, this space understands art as a practice of care, access, and collective transformation, moving away from logics of competition and elitist validation.

About Yurshell Rodríguez

She has led conservation initiatives since a young age and, in 2018, spearheaded a landmark lawsuit against deforestation in the Colombian Amazon. Her work in environmental education and participation in spaces such as COP25, COP26, and COP27 have earned her national and international recognition, establishing her as an influential voice in global climate action.
