Description

Join the closing tour and farewell to Khoka Project at the Museum, a final opportunity to experience this exhibition up close and learn about the stories and questions it raises.

People who arrive 30 minutes before the tour (4:30 p.m.) will be able to take some of the garden plants home to care for.

About the exhibition

The exhibition traces the complex relationship that humankind has forged with the coca plant throughout history. This species has been demonized and almost condemned to extermination due to the so-called war on drugs and the inherent prejudice that prevents distinguishing the extracted alkaloid, used as a psychoactive substance, from the coca plant itself, a medicinal plant that is highly nutritious and venerated as sacred by indigenous communities and ancient civilizations of South America.
