El porro: from the street to the Museum. Dance gathering

Dance is the language that allows us to become movement, sound, and time; all at the same time.
In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to let your body flow to the rhythm of porro, while we discuss its origin, evolution, and the way it has shaped the Medellín scene, slipping into the streets and homes of the city. This gathering is for everyone and no prior experience is needed; it seeks to have participants learn through practice and conversation about this traditional rhythm that has permeated the culture of our country.
As we learn the basic steps of porro, the rhythm of those streets will resound in the Museum, and with it, our body and the spirit that inhabits it.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
We inform our visitors that during exhibition programming and events open to the public, the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín may take photographic, video, and/or audiovisual recordings that could include the image of attendees.
