Within the framework of the sound installation Fósil Acústico and the celebration of World Listening Day, the purpose of this walk is to recognize the territory through diverse activities and methodologies on soundscape, acoustic ecology and field recording in practice.
Fósil acústico is an artistic and educational project by Colombian artists Santiago Reyes and Daniel Villegas that explores the acoustic relationship with the Aburrá-Medellín River as a body of water that connects territories and communities of the Metropolitan Area and the diversity of beings that inhabit its banks and waters.
This activity is an invitation to listen alongside the river, and is supported and accompanied by the Área Metropolitana de Medellín.
Recommendations: comfortable clothing, hydration and, if possible, bring a field recorder or portable recording equipment.
