Format: In-person

This performance is a ritual of communication with the spirit of the Aburra River, with the non-human beings that amplify its multiple voices, and with the ancestors who inhabited and cared for it before its channelization. Cuando el rio suena, a work by Tania Candiani, will be the instrument of communication to bring together the present, pasts, and futures of the river, to contact it and listen to what this entity has to tell us. Spirits are not the dead; they are life manifesting in different registers and frequencies.
