En Sala con is a space for delving deeper into the curatorial vision of the Museum’s exhibitions, interacting directly with artists and curators, and learning about the motivations and contexts of the exhibitions up close. On this occasion, we will visit the exhibition Materialidades y constelaciones, in the company of artist Juan Fernando Herrán.
About the exhibition
Over the last thirty years, Juan Fernando Herrán has developed his work through extensive fieldwork, frequently carried out in the company of a camera and his notebooks; he has also grounded it in historical, sociological, and anthropological research. His processes of material transformation, as well as the construction of images and structures, are rooted in those carried out by other human beings in their search for practical solutions and symbolic meaning.
