MAMM invites you to a special tour of the exhibition ‘Bubuia. Aguas como fuente de imaginaciones y deseos’, guided by our chief curator, Marielsa Castro Vizcarra.
During this visit, Marielsa will share her perspective on an exhibition that addresses the Amazons, their imaginaries and affects, and that invites reflection on the relationship between territories, communities, and their forms of resistance.
Marielsa Castro Vizcarra is a Mexican curator and researcher with an extensive career in projects that interweave contemporary art, critical pedagogies, and community work. Before assuming her role at MAMM, she was associate curator at Museo Jumex (Mexico City), where she promoted collaborative and participatory programs that sought new ways of inhabiting the museum. Her curatorial practice is committed to encounter, listening, and collective creation, principles that now guide her work in Medellín.
This tour proposes approaching ‘Bubuia’ from a critical and sensitive perspective, open to dialogue with audiences and to the construction of new readings around territory, memory, and care.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
We inform our visitors that during exhibition programming and public events, the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín may take photographic, video, and/or audiovisual recordings that could include the image of attendees.
