Intersecciones. Past, present and future of ceramics and metalwork

This gathering is proposed as an exchange of knowledge and practices, with the purpose of creating a network of local and international artists, promoting innovative uses of clay, and documenting the historical and contemporary intersections of ceramics and goldsmithing. The conversation is a continuation of the dialogue initiated at the International Symposium Intersecciones, held in September in Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda, and organized by Minkalab and 057 Films thanks to the stimulus program of the Ministerio de las Culturas.

During the event, a sound intervention by SonAr — Sonidos arcaicos will take place, a project by Agustin Cardenas that seeks to explore, through experimental archaeology and staging, the acoustic systems of pre-Hispanic sound artifacts in interaction with electronic resources; proposing “another perspective” on the archaeological heritage of our country, where the essential thing is to draw attention to the sonic resources inherent to the pre-Hispanic societies that populated the current Colombian territory, conceived as a legacy that transcends materiality and seeks to reduce the subject-object distance.
