We read what has been written about the sky and everything we cannot see from the earth. We write to try to say what is in front of us, what we imagine might be beyond, on the other side, in the fold of the horizon.
The desire to put into words, to fix on paper or the screen the experience of seeing, allows us to approach the immensity of the place of which we are part: words trace the distance between the body of the observer and the place where their eyes are set. The landscape seems more graspable through writing and reading.
In this laboratory, we will take a journey through different texts that construct images of day and night, of how light and darkness interfere with the shape of things, to develop writing exercises that lead to expanding those images and incorporating into them that portion of the world that no one else sees in the same way.
