Synopsis: The ass is far from the heart, and art, in the hands of La Red Comunitaria Trans, can be as monumental as a 12-meter inflatable that channels rage and pain in the face of violence, state abandonment, and the memory of so many murdered companions. This film is a celebration of existence amid a life expectancy of only 35 years, a tribute to those networks that for more than 10 years have been woven around La Red Comunitaria Trans and its work; it is popular art made by queers, street people, transvestites, and sex workers.
After the screening, a conversation will take place with Katalina Angel, director of La Red Comunitaria Trans, and Juan David Cortes (Pelos), director of the film La Red. Moderated by: Juli Zapata Rincon, artistravesti, curator, and educator.
