Los Mirlos are an iconic psychedelic cumbia band founded in the 1970s in Peru. Recognized as the fathers of Amazonian cumbia, they have forged an unmistakable sound that combines the rhythmic base of traditional cumbia with electric guitars laden with psychedelic influences and melodies inspired by the jungle.
Over more than five decades, their songs have become classics of Latin American tropical music, captivating audiences across the Americas and Europe. Tracks such as La Danza de los Mirlos and Sonido Amazónico have transcended generations.
