SCREENING WITH DISCUSSION: “Materiales extraviados” Short Film Program produced by Bruma cine and Crisalida
Accompanying the premiere of Tu me hiciste ver el cielo (2023), the program brings together short films made by Crisalida Cine and Bruma Cine, showcasing the explorations and aesthetic interests of their recent production. These four films, on one hand, deviate from traditional production mechanisms, expanding their creative approaches through formal hybridization and (re)writing through editing; and on the other, their proposals intersect around the body, animality, the oneiric, and speculation.

Sus cuerpos no tiemblan cuando salen del agua

The doors open and they peek out: their whistles travel along the rails that cross the town. The dogs rise. The children put out their cigarettes. They have arrived, and now, everything is still.
Sodoma, la mujer de la luna

One night I get together with my friends to build collective sexual fantasies while we get drunk. The camera rotates among all of us amid conversations and laughter. As the night progresses, there is an unexpected turn in which a character from a childhood memory comes to life.
Los hijos de la luz

Tu me hiciste ver el cielo

A group of friends decides to travel to a forest on the outskirts of the city, despite warnings and restrictions due to a strange moss that has recently infested the area. In this place, where the characters play, sing, and freely display their bodies, reality gradually dislocates and ends up intertwining with their stories, dreams, and fantasies.
After the screening, the following will converse: Tiagx Velez, Juliana Zuluaga, and Luis Esguerra, directors of the short films, with Ismael Garcia, filmmaker.
