Pensamiento y espíritu. Interpretation experiences at the Museo de la Fundación Aburrá

This activity, organized in collaboration between the Museo de la Fundación Aburrá and the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín, proposes a reflective tour around pre-Hispanic pieces recovered from guaquería (looting) practices in Colombia — objects stripped of archaeological context that challenge traditional notions of authenticity and veracity.

Together with David Acevedo (director of the Museo de Arte Prehispánico de la Fundación Aburrá) and the MAMM Mediators, we will carry out interpretation exercises that bring us closer to the exhibited pieces. In this way, we will construct our own readings and reflections about the thinking of original peoples and cultural heritage.
