Presentation of the interactive book Bare Hako. Madres de semilla
Date: Thursday, August 28
Time: 7 p.m.
Venue: Sala de Fundiciones
Free admission
This gathering aims to discuss Bare Hako. Madres de semilla, an interactive book that brings together the ancestral thinking of the women of the Pirá Paraná River in the Amazon. The result of a community-led research initiative guided by female knowledge keepers of the territory, the work safeguards the knowledge of Hee Yaia Keti Oka — the Jaguars of Yuruparí —, recognized as intangible heritage of humanity.
Through songs, origin stories, sacred cartographies, research texts, and 3D animations in four indigenous languages, Bare Hako makes visible the feminine wisdom that sustains the fertility and abundance of the Amazon. This gathering with Carolina Duque and Jimena Puyo invites us to engage in a dialogue about the power of art and technology as ways of preserving and sharing the living knowledge of indigenous peoples.
