Watercolor workshop. Gestures of the grotesque in the work of Débora Arango
INSCRIPCIONES CERRADAS
Date: Thursday, December 4
Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Location: Study Room
Drawing from the pictorial language of Débora Arango, we will explore the possibilities that the stain and the glaze offer in watercolor technique. We will play with the expressionist characteristics of her work and the grotesque as that which unsettles and breaks with the “correct.”
With three guided exercises, we will have the opportunity to explore this technique as a territory of experimentation and aesthetic rebellion. It will be a space to play, let go of control, and allow the materials to speak.
Free admission to this workshop is thanks to the Audience Development strategy of the Mayor’s Office of Medellín.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
We inform our visitors that during exhibition programming and public events, the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín may take photographic, video, and/or audiovisual recordings that could include the image of attendees.
