This second rotation presents a selection of landscapes that reflect not only the continent’s orography but also the geography of artistic production in the region: from the abstraction of Roberto Donis to the exuberance of Jorge Gómez and María Teresa Negreiros.
Landscape has been one of the fundamental genres in art history and is the quintessential exploration of the natural (and urban) environment, a subject that would be addressed again and again by artists in ways as diverse as plein air painting and land art.
