About the exhibitions
Juan Fernando Herrán. Materialidades y constelaciones
Has a retrospective character centered on a selection of works created since the late 1990s, and includes earlier works that share illuminating formal and thematic interests. A significant number of the works were conceived and produced during the artist’s extended stays in Medellín, initially thanks to an invitation to participate in MDE11, which brought him closer to the city’s social and urban complexity.
Invocando los fantasmas de la modernidad
This exhibition examines how digital technologies can open new possibilities for the presentation of cultural heritage and art within a museographic context. Based on digital exhibition models of two influential European exhibitions, Les Immatériaux (France) and Iconoclash (Germany), the show proposes a critical reflection on modernity and its narratives, exploring their echoes in the contemporary world.
Umbral de resonancia
This is an installation that proposes a sensory and reflective space through the intersection of the natural and the technological. Using sound as a bridge between biodiversity and human experience, the artists invite the public to immerse themselves in an interactive and resonant sound ecosystem, where species, spaces, and times converge.
