Pensar con las manos. Collage workshop with Caracolla

Collage is an intuitive artistic technique that consists of gluing different elements onto a surface, such as images, newspaper clippings, magazines, handwritten texts, maps, or plans, with the goal of achieving a new composition. Its spontaneous nature enables the connection between the imaginary and the real, blurring the limits of what we believe to be correct in order to give rise to new narratives.

During this workshop, we will approach image creation through practice and knowledge of cutting techniques, textures, and composition. It will be an open and relaxed space to express our emotions while accessing creative production without obstacles or limitations.

About Carolina Cardona Londono (Caracolla)

I am Caracolla from Medellín, Colombia. For me, collage is a creative tool with infinite possibilities. I like to experiment with paper without rules or plans, combining pieces and making cuts intuitively until I arrive at the image I want. Finding the hidden beauty in the fragments. I do not have an established technique or formula; I work with my visual sensations and personal tastes. My work is characterized by being full of color and nature.
