Publicaciones posibles: diccionario colectivo – Workshop with Ediciones Réplica
Publicaciones posibles: diccionario colectivo is an experience of creation and editorial experimentation carried out in collaboration with Ediciones Réplica, a project directed by Arturo Salazar and José Ruiz, curators of the exhibition Señal abierta. Lenguajes del arte actual.
The workshop aims to expand the conceptual and technical possibilities of publications, starting from the context and ideas of each participant. It is assumed that every editorial project is a collaborative act, in which disciplines, trades, and diverse forms of knowledge converge.
Divided into three stages — editing, design, and production —, this space combines hands-on learning with a reflection on the history of artist publications and self-publishing in the region. Through an analysis of Diccionario de Arte Actual by Leonel Estrada, participants will explore the dictionary as an expanded information system and as a starting point for new editorial forms.
As a result of the workshop, each attendee will take home a Publicación Posible, created collectively during the session.
This is a project allied with the JUNTXS network: circulation and collaboration in visual and plastic arts, which is part of the Program for the strengthening of circulation spaces and projects, and for promoting collaborative work in Colombia.
