Luisebastián Sanabria. Eclipse Season

Eclipse Season is an installation project and a dialogue between the work of two Colombian artists as part of the eighteenth edition of Programa C, the Museum’s exhibition segment dedicated to emerging artists and curators, supported by Celsia. The work of Luisebastián Sanabria takes as its starting point and reinterpretation the work of artist Maryluz Álvarez titled Proyecto para un evento solar, a piece that has been part of the MAMM collection since 1991 thanks to the Salón Arturo y Rebeca Rabinovich, where 24 photographs show a simulation of an eclipse. To enter into dialogue with this piece, Sanabria proposes an in situ installation –lighting and audiovisual– that replicates the aforementioned exercise of spatial imagination.
