The last Friday of every month, Extended Night at MAMM!
Break from your routine and connect with art and culture in the city
Last Friday of every month. Free admission with voluntary contribution between 6 and 10 p.m.
7 p.m. Outdoor film screening
6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Guided tours of the exhibitions
The last Friday of every month, at the MAMM, we host our Extended Night, a session in which we keep the Museum open until 10 p.m. so you have more time to connect with art and cinema in a different kind of plan that you can enjoy with your friends, your family, your coworkers, or even attend solo and make new connections.
On these days, admission to the Museum is free with a voluntary contribution from 6 p.m. until the end of the evening, making this a unique opportunity to enjoy our facilities as a different kind of plan in the city where various artistic expressions converge.
The large screen on our Plaza lights up at 7:00 p.m. to enjoy together a new outdoor cinema screening, where we show films suitable for all audiences, with a diversity of formats and narratives, including Colombian cinema, internationally acclaimed films, documentaries, animated films, and more.
As part of the MAMM experience, at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Extended Night attendees can enjoy guided tours of the exhibitions with our mediators, who will accompany you to contemplate the works, understand the context, and learn about some of the motivations of the artists featured in our galleries. You can currently visit the exhibitions Bubuia. Aguas como fuente de imaginaciones y deseos, Lleébu. Amazonía colombiana: sonidos y lenguas indígenas en riesgo, Señal abierta. Lenguajes del arte actual and the Garden of Khoka Project.
Those interested in participating in this activity only need to approach the ticket office at the indicated time to join one of these visits and learn in greater detail the stories behind these exhibitions.
The MAMM Shop will be another space to visit during the Extended Night. There you can purchase products inspired by the Museum’s exhibitions and objects from local and national designers that are part of the extensive catalog, including clothing, jewelry, books, music, stationery, and other items.
Getting to the Museum is very easy: you can use bus routes that travel along Av. Las Vegas between the Industriales and Poblado stations of the Medellín Metro. You can also use the city’s Integrated Transportation System and get off at the Metro or Metroplús Industriales station and walk a few blocks south. Finally, you can use the public bicycle system EnCicla and get off at the MAMM station in Ciudad del Río. Additionally, the Museum has covered parking for vehicles, motorcycles, and bicycles. Bicycle parking is free, and you must bring your own security cable.
To complete the plan, in our surroundings you can find a varied selection of restaurants and cafes to enjoy before or after your visit.
