Encuentro Colombiano de la Imagen
El Encuentro Colombiano de la Imagen es una iniciativa del Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín en alianza con varias instituciones culturales de la ciudad, orientada a la exhibición y reflexión en torno a la producción y recepción de la imagen, tanto fija como en movimiento, en la contemporaneidad. Se compone de una serie de exposiciones y un seminario que explorará la naturaleza de la imagen hoy y su capital lugar en la sociedad, y acoge el concurso de fotografía organizado por el Club Fotográfico Medellín.
Esta programación es posible gracias a la generosidad de la Fundación MUV y Celsia, y al compromiso de Museo de Antioquia, Biblioteca Pública Piloto, Club Fotográfico Medellín, Universidad EAFIT, Lokkus Arte Contemporáneo y La Balsa Arte.

Through the exhibitions programmed to rescue the figure of Horacio Marino Rodríguez from oblivion, one can explore his rich legacy in painting, photography, printmaking, and architecture, as well as his role as a writer, editor, and mentor to generations of engineers, technicians, and architects. This exhibition is part of the research project that EAFIT University has been developing in recent years, which aims to highlight the work of one of the pioneers of photography in Antioquia.

Sabotages presents three local perspectives that highlight the constant expansion of the image. The exhibition comprises works that, in their formal aspects, possess an installation-like character. Through Camilo Echeverri’s Correspondences, Eliana Morales’s Dust You Are, and Hebert Rodríguez’s Projections and Intermittencies, the artists question the sociocultural value of photography as a medium for memory and the role of the photographer as a narrator of an era.

This exhibition comprises 36 intaglio prints, each 35 x 50 cm, on etching paper. These unique prints explore ideas and concepts such as chance, light, time, and space from a photographic perspective.
