Mexico: Fantastic Identity, 20th Century Masterpieces

This exhibition brings together major works of Mexican art and explores some of the schools, movements, and trends that developed there during the 20th century. The show begins with a large-format painting by José Clemente Orozco, followed by a group of works that include pieces by fellow muralists Diego Rivera and David Alfaro Siqueiros, as well as by the most important representatives of the Mexican School of Painting. Overall, the pieces on display address some of the themes that helped forge a national identity after the Mexican Revolution.
